A couple of times this summer the turkeys have "found" a snake. When they find a snake, they sure let me know. They make the oddest sound--a sound they don't make any other time. It is apparently their "I found a snake" sound.
This one was hidden pretty well, and he laid very still while all the commotion was going on around him.What commotion?

The turkeys thought about eating the snake, but they were already stuffed.

Not a big fan of snakes. Good that you've got a personal alarm system there to alert you not to step on one of those snakes.
When I woke up this morning I had no idea I'd learn something new about turkey behavior. I'm going to enjoy spreading this information around at parties ;)
Oh I have a hard time reading posts with snakes in them! I about jumped out of my chair!
