A Bittersweet Goodbye

Tonight I said goodbye to my lovely girl Laramie.

It was a good kind of goodbye, though. Things will be better for both her and me this way, but it didn't make things much easier.

I don't have the time Laramie deserves, I don't have the resources to show her or the money to properly care for six horses. Laramie wasn't wanting for anything, but at the same time, I was doing her an injustice. She is so beautiful and talented, she needed someone who had the resources, both time and monetary, to do her justice.

So tonight, she went home with Katrina, an 18-year old valedictorian and rodeo queen. She will have the time and resources to train Laramie to her fullest potential.

Thanks so much to everyone who had an interest in Laramie and for everyone's help in making sure she had a great home.

It was such a joy owning her, and I count myself lucky to have had her in my life, but I need to try to do right by my other girls (and one fabulous guy). Here's to the future: CHEERS!!

Thanks so much Jessica. I think Laramie will very much enjoy being a "rodeo queen." She thinks she's a queen, in any case :)

Sydney, she's going to barrel race her. She's pretty quick on her feet, so hopefully she'll have lots of success!

I heard from the friend that referred her that they are in love with Laramie already. So far, so good....
